Meet Bastien, the Heart Behind Swiss Aquademy!
Based in Geneva, Bastien is a swimming instructor and water enthusiast. For 8 years, he’s guided swimmers of all backgrounds through their aquatic journeys—from teaching 4-year-olds their first strokes to helping seniors with mobility through aquatic exercises. He also holds both Swiss and French swimming and safety certifications including Pool Pro, BLS AED module, and BPJEPS.
Then He Noticed Something Missing.
While leading group swimming classes, he observed a pattern that troubled him: despite his best efforts, the progress of individual swimmers was often compromised in group settings. Even with small classes, he couldn’t provide the specific attention each person truly needed to overcome their unique challenges.
“I would watch students struggle with the same technique issues week after week,” Bastien recalls. “I knew exactly what they needed to correct, but in a group setting, I could never give them enough one-on-one time to truly break through.” This realization was the catalyst for Swiss Aquademy—a swimming instruction approach built entirely around personalized, private lessons where each swimmer receives 100% of Bastien’s expertise and attention.
