Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my first lesson?

Bring your swimwear, a towel, a swim cap, and goggles. If our lesson is outdoors, don't forget sunscreen!

What if I need to cancel a lesson?

We understand that schedules can change. We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged for the session.

How do I prepare for open water swimming lessons?

Open water swimming requires different skills than pool swimming. We recommend having basic swimming proficiency first, which we can help develop before transitioning to open water techniques.

Do you offer weekly group classes?

Currently, Swiss Aquademy specializes exclusively in private, one-on-one swimming instructions (or small group lessons by request). But good news, weekly group classes is currently under consideration based on student interest and demand. If you would be interested in joining a weekly group class format, please share your email here and we'll add you to our priority notification list and you'll be among the first to know!

What happens if weather conditions aren't suitable for open water lessons?

Safety is our top priority. If weather or water conditions are unsafe for open water training, we will reschedule your lesson or, when possible, offer an alternative indoor pool session to work on technique that will benefit your open water swimming.

Do you offer lessons in English?

Yes! Lessons are available in both English and French

Is there an age requirement for children's lessons?
